I'm tired of hearing though "OMG HE'S MOLESTING ME" or "Lol its about to be rape time."
People severely underestimate the connotations that the word means, and leads one to wonder if the person using the term even has a real concept of the idea.
It isn't even funny, so stop trying.

I completely agree. And have you ever heards of Pyramid head? He's a game character who rapes people apparantly. I never knew this, until I asked someone who was a "fan" of him and they told me about him. I was shocked! People are fans of a rapist? Many of them fantasize about being raped by this character; that's just revolting. I don't care if they keep that kind of thing to themselves, but they shouldn't post art and stuff about their rape fantasies on DA. God almighty. If it happened to them in real life, they'd see rape isn't just a word, it's reality, a fact of life for some people, and it is very traumatising - it can change a person forever.

I've heard of pyramid head, but otherwise have heard little about the character.
It's less that people want to be raped by him, they have no clear concept of what rape is it seems. The idea is that they enjoy maybe bondage, probably In the end they want to enjoy their sexual fetish.
I'm glad you like the stamp though. Rape conjurs up a strong image for (unfortantly) to many people. It's really bothersome how many people take it as a joke.
In reality there's another definition of rape, but clearly they do not mean it as such.

My younger sister and her friends think screaming "RAPE!" is harmless and funny. I have heard women on my campus warned that shouting or screaming "rape!" is now useless, because people think it's a joke and ignore it. That's how often this bullshit gets pulled now...

Sometimes I consider telling my sister and her friends about what I've been through, but I haven't because I doubt it would change their behavior...and then hearing it would just sting more.

I understand.
Sometimes telling people what you've been through only makes it worse. I've had a friend who made a joke then went "Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot."
Truely, she was apologetic..but it stung more because I was only recieving pity at that point.

You're welcome; I usually favoruite funny stamps, but I decided it'd be good to favorutie something which shows what lines I don't like to step over when it comes to humour too. If people were more educated about the meaning of rape, and that it's not just something in games or movies, they might take it more seriously.

Very nice collection you have there! That polar bear one was really good :lol: If I add more stamps to my shout board I'll be sure to use it :D (I probly won't for now, I got heaps up already... but if I do I'll fave or comment on it)
