Stephen King on SMeyer Stamp by Pirate-Liz Stephen King on SMeyer Stamp by Pirate-Liz
Thanks for all the comments! HOWEVER,
Jo is a shortened version of her first name. It is not a typo and is derived directly from Stephen King's quote! (See below). It saying Jo is COMPLETELY intended.

"Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."(Access Hollywood, 2009)

I know there's another stamp similar to this, but that one added their opinion at the end.
This is a simple stamp that plainly has the quote from Stephen King.
Considering the mass amount of people who love Harry Potter, Twilight, and those who don't..I ask everyone to be respectful.Especially towards one another.
Any flammatory comments will be marked as spam and removed from view.
Also anything that resembles a person smashed their head on the keyboard while trying to type it.

Just to be prim and proper, I cite my resource.

Access Hollywood. (2009, February 3). Stephen King On 'Twilight' Author: 'Stephenie Meyer Can't Write Worth A Darn'. Retrieved February 10, 2009, from OMG!: [link]

As always, thanks to ~Aqua-Limeade for the help.
If you use this stamp please comment and/or fave. Thank you!

I've heard that quote. But I don't like either of them at all. Really, I'm just not into "fantasy". And you can flame me for this but the fantastical elements in HP were NOT original. I loved them a LOT as a teenager but now...I wouldn't say I LOATHE them, but I don't like them.

I read Twilight when I was younger and to be honest... I have never been more ashamed of myself. No, I disagree!

Never be ashamed! I started reading the series when it was first published, back when I was 15, and I really enjoyed them then. Now, the books are painful and I'm selling my collection. Either way, no shame in reading something that you did in the past.

I may never be able to forget but at least I can forgive myself. My sister owned them all. Then she realized what they really were. She burned them.

Eh I like Twilight but to each their own X3 I'm sure Stephenie will get better though and hopefully grows as a writer. We all start from somewhere after all...

I read Twilight and loved it, when I was ten. I read HP and LOVED it, it was a bit boring at first but worth it. I read HP when I was eight. I still love it.

I love Harry Potter. Still do. :3

I used to like Twilight, New Moon, ect.

When I was like, twelve.

Now that I'm a new-found hopeless romantic, I realize it's not a very good romance. It seems forced to me, now. It amuses and confuses me that the most unrelatable and wooden characters in the book where the two mains. The other characters I don't have an issue with. But when you screw up the mains... erk.

However, I do like Meyer's The Host, so I know she's got some talent somewhere.

I, honestly, love Stephen King.
And I've only actually read Breaking Dawn, and I agree with this stamp.

I agree.
I read one of the reviews on Twilight and it said "Move over, Harry Potter." and I just about burned my computer.

Don't hate me for this but.....I absolutely cannot stand J.K Rowling. :p The Harry Potter books honestly just....bored me to death. The characters seemed like stereotypes rather than actual characters, and....meh.
BUT TWILIGHT WAS MUCH, MUCH WORSE.
And if Stephen King said so then it must be true. xD

Nah, I only get bothered if people don't try reading the book first. It sounds like you did, so I have nothing to bitch about.

Meyer is just a wannabe author.
Rowling is just a 100x times better. Meyer is nothing. I'll be honest here, I've read like, the first chapter of a Twilight book -- and it was just... blargh. And when I read the Harry Potter book, I actually laughed at the humor that Rowling added there. Seriously, it's cheering up. HP is the very first book I've ever read, and I couldn't even find a word to describe how awesome it is.

I totally agree with this, I do see his point. To me (this is just ME, of course) it feels like the whole meaning of Twilight is how important it is to have a boyfriend. *sigh*

Lol. I agree!! "Breaking Dawn?" More like "Breaking Wind."

I'm not sure Stephen King is the best one to judge though. XD Some of his stuff is just as bad-- at least he has good books and stories to make up for those.

I read twlight- I have all the books, I have all the films and am going to see Breaking Dawn part 2 after I come back off holiday.
I LOVE STEPHEN KING- I have most of his books and I have watched all of his films as he is amazing.
J.K Rowling is awesome, he books are imaginative and funny. They have so much story and laughs and have something for everyone. I have all the books, films and have met a character from the series/

So.... in conclusion, lets give Stephen King a cookie, yeah Stephenie is good, but King and Rowling are awesome :-)
